Privacy notice
Last updated: 10 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information Denobion holds, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. We hold very little and intend to keep it that way.
Who we are
Denobion Limited is the controller of the personal information described here. We are a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales, company number 17438960, with our registered office at 15 Thirsk Road, Bicester, Oxfordshire, OX26 1ED, United Kingdom.
Jack Denton, a director, is responsible for data protection. You can reach us about anything in this notice at [email protected].
This website
This website does not ask you for any information. It has no forms and no analytics or visitor tracking, and we do not set any cookies. Its fonts and images are hosted on the site itself rather than loaded from other companies’ servers.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from attack, Cloudflare processes technical information about each visit, such as your IP address and browser type, on our behalf. If Cloudflare needs to check that a visitor is not an automated program, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie; these cookies are not used to track you. Cloudflare explains them at developers.cloudflare.com, and how long it keeps visit information in its privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. We do not use this information to identify visitors.
The links to LinkedIn take you to LinkedIn’s own site, where LinkedIn’s privacy policy applies.
Information we hold, and why
If you email us. We keep your message and the name and contact details it contains, so that we can reply and keep a record of our correspondence.
If we work with you, or may do. We hold the business contact details of people at the organisations we work with, or discuss work with: name, organisation, role, work contact details and our correspondence. Most come from you directly. Some come from introductions, from events, or from public professional sources such as an organisation’s website or LinkedIn.
We rely on our legitimate interests: running the company, responding to people who contact us, keeping in touch with the people we work with, and delivering and securing this website. Where we have a contract with you personally, for example as a self-employed adviser, we rely on that contract for the information it needs.
We do not ask you to provide sensitive personal information, such as health data, and we do not use your information for automated decisions or profiling.
Newsletters and event invitations. We do not currently send newsletters, publications or event invitations by email. If we start, we will do so only where the law allows, say so in this notice, and include a simple way to opt out in every message.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information or share it with others for their marketing. Service providers who run our systems, such as our email, document and website hosting providers, use it only on our instructions. Professional advisers, such as accountants or lawyers, may see it when we need their help, and they handle it under their own professional obligations.
Some of these providers process information outside the United Kingdom, mainly in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the UK’s adequacy regulations for the United States (the UK–US “data bridge”), under which our main providers are certified, and as a fallback by the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. You can ask us at [email protected] for details of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
| Information | How long |
|---|---|
| Business contacts and general correspondence | Three years after our last contact with you |
| Correspondence about a contract | Six years after the contract ends |
| Technical information about visits to this website | Held by Cloudflare for the periods set out in its privacy policy |
We delete information at the end of these periods, except where the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You have the right to object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests. Contact us at [email protected].
You can also ask us:
- what information we hold about you, and for a copy of it
- to correct it if it is wrong
- to delete it, which we will do unless we need to keep it, for example for a legal obligation
- to limit how we use it while a question about it is resolved
- for a copy in a portable form, where this applies: generally information you gave us that we hold under a contract with you
Write to [email protected]. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge. If a request is complex we may need up to two further months, and we will tell you within the first month if so.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please email [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, keep you informed and tell you the outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if what we hold or how we use it changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
